As you can see by one of our recent posts, we’ve been busy here at SendGrid. In this post we’ll share what has been going on in the development side of the house, such as some recently added features, bug fixes and then we’ll take out our crystal ball to give you a sneak peek at what’s coming around the corner.
As always, we greatly appreciate your feedback, so if you wish to share your thoughts with us, we’ve put together a list of ways you can collaborate with us at the end of the post.
It is now possible to include a bcc field via the Web API. Check the documentation for further details.
Select the search box to the right of your statistics graph or table and you will be able to easily switch to a specified category as shown below.
All enabled apps execute in order from left to right, top to bottom. Now you can order the apps using a simple drag and drop interface. Check out the quick video below for a demonstration.
You can now cancel your account (not that you would ever want to) from your account settings page. Just click the Cancel your account link, fill out the quick form and we will take care of the rest.
You can now print out your invoices in style using the print icon to the right of your invoice. Clicking that icon produces a nicely formatted HTML page.
1. Errors that occurred when enabling and disabling apps for sub-users have been resolved.
2. A bug that would cause Tell-a-Pal discounts to not get applied was fixed.
3. An issue was resolved with the DNS validation on Step 5 of the White Label Wizard for sub-users, where (before) it would not appear.
4. Restored the link for inactive users to be able to sign up again at a later time.
5. Fixed a bug where your remaining credits on your account overview page would falsely display zero.
6. The password reset link was fixed.
7. There was a change in the way we calculate your delivered emails. We no longer count deferred emails as delivered immediately. Once those deferred messages are actually delivered, your stats are updated accordingly.
8. Statistics engine calculation error discovered and fixed. We were calculating percentages for various rates (open rates, unique open rates, click rates, unique click rates, unsubscribe rates and spam complaint rates) based on the following incorrect equation: X / # Email Requests. We have corrected this and now employ the following equation: X / # Email Delivered. Following our corrective action, most of our users will see an increase in the above-mentioned rates since Delivered is typically a somewhat lower value than Requested.
You will be able to search for events based on the recipient email from the SendGrid website.
Look for this feature in early December.
After revamping the inline documentation, we are now working on making the flow more intuitive. We are moving the layout step so that it now follows the template step. We also do not open new tabs anymore when you want to edit an existing list.
We will also be adding documentation for the Newsletter API.
Look for these changes within the next few weeks.
We are extremely appreciative of the feedback and understanding that we have seen from our customers. If you would like to provide further thoughts on how we can continue to improve, please use one of the following mechanisms:

Adam –
Thanks for the comment.
We've received a lot of feedback that supports bringing back the pie chart for categories. At this time, we are holding off on re-implementation until we figure out how to best display those charts for the users that want them, while not sacrificing the UX for those who do not. The main issue we are trying to avoid is slow browser rendering.
When the pie charts return, we'll definitely let you know!
Thanks for reading!
This gives me the recipients of the outgoing mail. the recipients that i have typed in, not the ones that i had received.
what i actually wanted was to know if i was sent a BBC copy of the mail or was i the direct recipient (through the to/cc field). The api you mentioned gets me the address of the person i am BCC'ing to. i am having to do this when i am forwarding/replying to the mail, not when i am receiving the mail.
