SendGrid Delivered’s spring tour started off with a bang in Austin last week. Longhorn fans were in luck—we hosted the event at Texas Memorial Stadium’s Centennial Suite that overlooks the field. A pretty exciting background to inspire our email deliverability chats!
We started the day off with a fun networking lunch before introducing our CEO, Jim Franklin, and our Director of Inbound
Marketing, Carly Brantz, who discussed the current state of email and the importance of maintaining a strong email program. It’s always inspiring to hear Jim speak—especially when he tells the SendGrid story. He’ll be presenting at both our Boston and Seattle stops as well, so lots to look forward to!
Jim and Carly then introduced our guest speaker, Keith Casey from Twilio. Keith gave a great overview of Twilio’s offerings and why email deliverability matters. We’ve been fortunate to work with Twilio a bunch in the past on joint messaging platforms, at hackathons, and more, so we were so excited that they were able to join us for this leg of the tour.
After a discussion about how to navigate the ISP landscape, we broke out into separate Developer and Marketing Tracks that included an API Workshop and live demo, as well as discussions about how to use your SendGrid account and the benefits of including marketing messaging in your transactional email.
One of the highlights of our roadshows is being able to interact with our fellow email enthusiasts to see where their interests and needs are and how SendGrid can help, so we were really encouraged by the audience enthusiasm and participation at both tracks. We didn’t want to stop the momentum, so we continued our networking and conversations at (our always lively) happy hour. We all raised our glasses to new friends, new skill sets, and to Austin, our fabulous host city.
We’re looking forward to our next stops in Seattle on April 10th and Boston on May 8th. Registration is free, so be sure to sign up now to secure a spot! We look forward to seeing you on the road!
